On this page we will try and keep you informed on our news and updates.
We hope you are enjoying your summer
:-)
We are keeping busy around here
as may be expected.
We have two new arrivals this summer
that we are very proud of, and have been waiting for, for some time.
We are proud to announce the birth
of Ava Blue. She was born June 10th from Tabitha's blue roan mare, Josie.
We have also received a beautiful
Scottish Highland/Herford cross calf, born Aug. 7th. that will also become a new member of the B&S family.
Steve and I are currently out of
state and have left the ranch duties in the trusted hands of Paul, Tabitha, and Dorothy. We love you all, and know you
are handling things at home. Thank You!!
Well it's March, seems as if spring is finally on it's way :-) We will be gearing up for our
busy season. Steve has spoiled me for my b-day, adding two new members to the B&S family. We welcome, Dewey
our new Draft horse, and Boo, our Belted heifer. Here are some pics of Dewey. He will be pulling our cart this
spring and summer. Boo is due to arrive next Sat. when we will be adding her pretty picture also. Getting spring
fever around here, hope it has hit your place too. Want to Thank all of you who have given us updates on your
calves, and comments on our site. Thank You :-)

Just some site notes, incase you missed them :-)
We have down sized our calf herd, getting ready for the winter. Due to construction
needed on our enclosed barns we will be limited as to the calves we will keep on hand, or be able to house until spring. (We
will be adding more pens, updating the barns and expanding, for next years calves).
We have added a few new pages to the site, trying to make it more user friendly.
We have also started a new accelerated feeding program with our calves. We now start
the calves on 28/20 Purina Cornerstone replacer, and the recommended 22/20 Purina Cornerstone starter feed. We feel
that starting them out right is the key, to continued growth potential, and healthier calves. We have found that the
over alll health of the calves seems better on this new program. They have high energy levels, more muscle mass in the
hips and through out, and also have really nice shiny coats. We really have seen the differance, and the results
are immediate. We are impressed.
We would also like to Thank, our mentors, dairies, and all who have helped us in our adventure.
We could not have been able to continue raising these little guys without all of you, and the valuable advise and support you
have given us. THANK YOU ALL!
If we do not answer our phone, this is what we are doing.... As I said we are getting
set up for winter months, so are very busy. Here is a peek of our winter calf housing. We are working on 33 new
4x8 independant calf pens. This is where we will house our new arrivals.

Thank You for the great pictures, Tom and Anna. They sent us these of the new additions
to their ranch. Anna and Tom are the proud owners of Windy Hill Ranch, where Anna does Native American Tack Beading. All horse riders and lovers should check out their site. So, here they are, meet Anna's Colby (the
holstein), and Tom's Sparky (the cross). Again, Thank You! It was wonderful meeting both of you, and we are very
glad you are happy with your new additions.

I want to Thank all who have supported and contacted me, due to my recent knee surgery.
I appreciate all the support, and the concern you have shown for me.
Since my accident in Nov., and the following surgery, Steve has been on his own in running
the ranch, Tabitha and Dorothy the home front, along with help from family, friends, neighbors, and a local young man
(Gage), who has been a god send. To all of you, I can not say enough how much this has helped. Again, Thank You,
we appreciate you very much!
